Pressing Business aka This Modern Philosopher Gets Wonderful News!

Doc FormalHappy Sunday, Modern Philosophers!

Please excuse the lack of a new post by now, but I received some wonderful news at The House on the Hill earlier today, and that’s kept me rather distracted…

One of my posts (the one about Zeus and the Greek God of Social Media) has been Freshly Pressed!  It happened at about 11:00am Modern Philosopher Time, and since then, I have been happily replying to comments from all the new readers that this honor has brought to my blog.

I just didn’t want my regular followers to feel like I was ignoring them today.  I wouldn’t have written as much as I have at this point if it weren’t for your constant encouragement, positive feedback, and acceptance of the way life is here in Maine.

I am humbled, I am thrilled, I am excited, and I just hope all the new folks that show up at the blog realize that some pretty silly stuff happens around here and I always seem to get caught in the middle of it.  It’s not all about Greek Gods here, but rather about how lucky I am to live in a place as weird and unique as Maine.

Welcome all new friends!  Thank you to those of you who have been around before the big news.  I promise to continue to report on life around me and introduce you to the creatures that come and go from my life on a regular basis.

Right now, I’m going to put on a comfy toga and just conjure up some Deep Thoughts on what it means to be so lucky.  Thank you all for enjoying the silly stories that come out of my misshapen head…
