Good morning, Modern Philosophers!
It’s a beautiful Saturday morning here in Maine…Easter Eve. I’m just not feeling it, though, when it comes to getting out into the sunshine for my morning run. So, I’ve decided to call in a Jersey Guy to get this Brooklyn Boy’s butt in gear…
Sometimes, a little motivation is all I need. Other times, a rock and roll classic is necessary to give me that little boost. I’ve listened to The Boss, I’ve changed into my running clothes, and now it’s time to go sweat.
What are you doing to get healthy on this day before all that candy arrives? Here’s a little something to motivate you…
Happy Saturday!

Ah, the boss. Running to “Born to Run?” priceless!
I needed Bruce to remind me I was born to do it… 😉
Wow, it just makes you feel good from the first few bars in. Such a classic, and even better live 🙂
I agree. I’ve seen him in concert and he rocks! 🙂
Helping my mom and dad move to a new condo….
Excellent! I hope the weather there is as lovely as it is here!
Well, here’s my fitness routine: I cleaned and cooked all day! But I listened to the whole “Born to Run” album while I did it. Bruce is even inspirational while dusting….
That means you listened to Thunder Road, which is my all time favorite Bruce tune… 🙂
For sure! Its in my top five, right up there with “Candy’s Room”, “Rosalita”, “Incident on 57th St.” and “Badlands”!
Excellent choices… 🙂
“Born to Run” cycles (no pun intended) in and out of my workout playlist, but “Rosalita” has been in the same slot for several years, where it inspires me to keep going.
Tell him this is his last chance, to get his daughter in a fine romance, because the record company, Rosie, just gave me a big advance…
Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey (etc.) . .. !!!!
For me it’s Steppenwolf, the Who, or maybe some BTO. I guess I’m revealing my age, aren’t I?
Music defies the ages. Anyone can like any band…
Word.
