Separation Anxiety Leaves Me In Dire Straits

love farI had an incredibly stressful day at work today.  I’m not sure why it is, but life away from The House on the Hill has bordered on intolerable lately.  Perhaps it’s because the other people in the office refuse to wear togas…you’re bound to get tense when you wear such constricting clothing!

Whenever I get incredibly worked up and feel like the world is out to get me, I turn to The Girl Who Knows How To Calm My Runaway Train.  I tapped out a quick text about how the walls were closing in on me, and hoped that her class had hit a lull that would allow her to comfort me without causing her to miss too much information that she would need in her new life as a doctor.

As always, she knew exactly the right thing to say.  She soothed me with her words, and I managed to get through yet another work day.

While I miss being able to walk down the hall and have her calm me in person, I’m incredibly lucky that she’s still always there when I need her.

It does hurt, though, to have her so far away from me…

Luckily, love travels faster than the speed of light, which means that in an emergency, it can cover the 1400 miles that separates us in a heartbeat…

Sorry to hear about that. But things could be worse. You might have to install microwave ovens, custom kitchen delivery.

i’m a sucker for your romantic musings, and yes, distance is nothing in the scheme of things, though it can be tough when caught up in the moment at times –

That’s the kind of love story that makes young girls want to get married. Nice to know there are still men out there who are romantics.
