‘Twas The Hump Day Of Christmas

tree‘Twas the Hump Day of Christmas

And all cross the blog,

The creatures were stirring

And drinking eggnog.

The Witches were cackling

As they conjured a brew,

The Werewolves were howling

Like they usually do.

Seamus was singing

And half off his rocker.

The Devil was eating,

Now ain’t that a shocker?

The Zombies were trudging

Outside in the snow,

While Gary the Gargoyle

Watched the show down below.

The Ghosts in my attic

Moaned a sweet Christmas tune.

Rachel the Archangel

Said she’d be arriving real soon.

The Modern Philosopher

Kept smiling still…

Merry Christmas to all,

From the House on the Hill!

The girl who is far away wasn’t there, but you had a menagerie of denizens to keep you company. Merry Christmas and most of all–good luck trying to get to work tomorrow when everyone and their cousin is out trying to exchange gifts or attack the after Christmas sales.

That is exactly the sort of thing I journey round this neighborhood to see. Merry Christmas!
