400,000 Hits…No Wonder I’m A Little Groggy!

wowLast night, while everyone at The House on the Hill was fast asleep, something wonderful happened, Modern Philosophers…

This blog received its 400,000th hit!

I didn’t even realize the counter went that high to be totally honest.  I can’t believe that after almost a year and a half, you loyal and amazing gluttons for punishment keep coming back to read the silliness that evolves from my Deep Thoughts.

Thank you for continuing to support this little endeavor.  You’ve helped me gain enough confidence in my ability to write comedy that I went after a job writing monologue jokes for a late night TV show.  I really do appreciate the support, Modern Philosophers!

Do you think we could actually push that counter to 1,000,000?  If you promise to keep reading, I promise to keep posting the stories that the voices in my head demand that I write.  The only way to really keep them under control is by doing their bidding, churning out the stories, and then reading your comments out loud for all of them to hear.

Without my faithful readers, this blog would just be a very bizarre journal that could most likely be used against me in court to have me committed to a psychiatric facility for long term observation.

So PLEASE keep reading!

Clipart Illustration of a Bunch Of Floating Party Balloons WithThis wouldn’t really be a celebration without balloons, now would it?  The interns have been inflating balloons all day, sucking down helium, and then serenading me with The Chipmunks’ greatest hits.  So I really need you to like the balloon, or else none of that was worth it!

I can’t believe how much this little side project has grown.  I so enjoy being a part of this community, and it has been so much fun getting to know my fellow toga wearers.

It’s a blast reading your comments and knowing that my words move you.  Thank you for welcoming my writing into your lives.

Let’s celebrate half a million hits real soon, okay!
