Will Gardner To Rise Again As Zombie Lawyer On The Walking Dead

WillFans of The Good Wife are in mourning over the shocking murder of Will Gardner in Sunday night’s episode.   There is hope, however, for those who not only love one of Chicago’s best lawyers, but also enjoy watching television on Sunday nights.

Will is going to rise from the dead, Modern Philosophers!

My sources at Zombie Walker Productions have informed me that the former big boss of one of the Windy City’s most prestigious law firms will make his triumphant television return as a down on his luck, just risen from the dead, Zombie lawyer on Sunday night’s Season Finale of The Walking Dead.

“We were lucky that Mr. Gardner suddenly had an opening in his extremely busy schedule,” producer Robin Romero explained to this Modern Philosopher.  “The plot of the Season Finale hinges on the fact that one of the Walkers was a lawyer in a previous life.  The second we learned that Mr. Gardner had been killed, we rushed to the hospital so we could be there with his agent and a contract the moment he returned in Zombie form.”

TWDMiss Romero was tight lipped as to the part Will Gardner plays in this week’s episode, but she let slip that it was a major plot twist that would “turn the world of The Walking Dead on its ear”.

“Will Gardner could very well be a regular part of Sunday night television again,” Romero hinted with a mischievous smile on her face.  “Of course, fans of The Good Wife will have to turn to AMC and watch The Walking Dead in order to see him.  A small price to pay for the return of such a beloved character.”

The producers of The Good Wife did not comment for this article.  Most likely because this is a piece of satire, but I guess we’ll never know for sure.

News of Will Gardner’s triumphant Zombie return had social media buzzing.  Most of the reaction was wildly positive, such as this tweet from @MarryMeDaryl: Daryl still rules and any Zombie drools, but Will can bite me any time!  I also got a chuckle out of this one from @SpankMeGovFlorrick: Does this mean Sheriff Rick might come to cuff Peter and ruff him up??? Yes plz!!!

Zombie groupThe idea of resurrecting a dead character as a Zombie on The Walking Dead has fans and agents very excited.  “Just think of the possibilities,” one Hollywood agent said.  “When a show kills off a character, that’s usually it unless they get all cheesy and use flashbacks and dream sequences.  Fans lose someone they’ve come to love and trust.  The actor loses a steady paycheck.  The agent loses a commission.  Now, that character just slaps on some makeup, figures out how to trudge and growl, and never has to memorize lines again.  Everyone wins!”

I don’t know about you, Modern Philosophers, but I lam really looking forward to The Walking Dead Season Finale.  I’m also a huge fan of The Good Wife, so it will be cool to see a character from one show slide over to the other.  What if this leads to a crossover episode down the line?  Rick, Daryl and the rest of the survivors find themselves in Chicago, where they rescue Governor Florrick and his beautiful wife from the clutches of Walkers hell bent on overrunning the Governor’s Mansion…

ZombiesWill Gardner, rest in peace.

Will Gardner, can’t wait for your triumphant Zombie return.

I’m pretty sure that Sunday night is my favorite night of television, and this bit of news just made it even better!

  1. I haven;t watched TV for a couple of years which included my long time favorite The Good Wife. I was shocked when I read Will was killed off. What are they thinking? Now the the sizzle has burned out, what will replace it?

  2. I DON’T LIKE ZOMBIES!!! (Thank God you are NOT one!) 🙂

I don’t watch much tv except for sports…. the wife watched the Goodwife… i thought it was about something else…. if you know what I mean… I can’t belivee they bumped theguy off, but I guess he wanted out! As for me television has turned in to a vast wasteland, I suppose I am not the target audience any longer…. anyway…. the phone just did the WordPress vring and you liked – thanks and then the comment rolled in – thanks, again… I was up late last night watching March Madness and the last of my bracket disintegrating! Flipping between Kentucky-Louisville and UVA-Mich St. I am done. (bracketwise) There is always next year!

You are BRILLIANT! You should tweet this to the shows and Will Gardner. They would get a big kick out of it and may retweet it to their fans!
Thanks for bringing it to the party! I can see that you’ve been the ultimate guest and have been making everyone feel at home (Clicking on their links)! Lots of new faces today!

I’m glad you liked it. Yes, I have been trying to visit everyone else over the course of the day. I’m shy about tweeting to shows and actors, though. Maybe someone else will do it for me?

Well, this was different. I like zombies, though, I mean they have their uses right? I have never figured out why actors leave good shows. Eh, I guess they think the grass is always greener. Fun post. Oh yeah, Susie sent me over from her party.

    Hello Austin-
Susie sent me from the party (I’m way beyond fashionably late). Fun post. I’m a TV binge-watcher and although I have never watched “The Walking Dead,” the show is next on our list after we finish up season 6 of “Lost.” I enjoyed this possible twist on both shows!

Thank you for stopping by. The Walking Dead is one of my favorite shows, and I also really liked Lost. If I had started my blog back in the Lost days, I’m sure I would’ve written many posts about it. 🙂
