The Nite Show’s Ratings Are Surging; Beats SNL In Maine!

nite logoJust got some wonderful news from Danny Cashman, the host of The Nite Show With Danny Cashman, that I wanted to share.

The new ratings were just released, and The Nite Show had its best numbers since the show began airing four years ago!  The ratings were up 50% from the February numbers, and The Nite Show beat Saturday Night Live.  How cool is that?

As you know, I am a writer for the show, which airs on Saturday nights in Maine directly against SNL.  I was quite proud to hear of the surging ratings, and I can only assume it’s because word has gotten around about how awesome the monologue jokes have been lately.  I mean, can you think of any other reason for the ratings jump???

Seriously, though, this is quite awesome.  According to Danny’s email, The Nite Show had a 3 rating and 23 share, while Saturday Night Live posted a 2 rating and 16 share.  In Bangor aka The Big City, The Nite Show pulled in a 4 rating and 28 share.

Nite ShowIt marked the first time that the little show that could from Maine beat the long time All-Star and future TV Hall of Famer in the ratings.  It was also the third consecutive ratings period where the numbers reflected growth.  You go, Nite Show!

Pretty cool right, Modern Philosophers?  There’s another taping coming up on June 18, and I am quite excited for that.  In the Fall, the show moves to its new location and will hopefully continue its ascent to late night TV domination!

Feel free to Tweet your congratulations to Danny and the team @TheNiteShowME or you can post a message on the show’s Facebook page.
