Sometime this afternoon, while I was reading Entertainment Weekly on the couch at The House on the Hill, this blog received its 500,000th view!
That’s a pretty big number, Modern Philosophers, and I just wanted to say Thank You to the best blog readers out there.
Of course, once I noticed that the counter had surpassed half a million, all hell broke loose at The House on the Hill. The Otherworldly Beings who are such a major part of this blog’s content, showed up to throw me a little party.
My Witch friends, Waltzing Matilda, Volcanica Ivy, and Ti-Diana have conjured up a cauldron of Half A Millionaire Ale in the dining room.
Seamus the Leprechaun is reciting raunchy limericks about the blog’s success and my personal life.
The Werewolf A Cappella group has set up shop out on the front porch, and they have been serenading the other guests through the front windows.
Gary the Gargoyle is taking folks for flights down by the Penobscot River, with the Flying Monkeys accompanying him for added excitement.
The Devil brought his famous Hell Fire Wings, and promised to not make deals for any souls over the next 24 hours.
My Alien friends have promised the greatest fireworks display ever unleashed on Earth.
Mayor McCheese has provided enough burgers, fries, and shakes to feed an army.
Zeus is tossing lightning bolts at Zombies that my Maine Zombie Hunter friends have brought by just for Zeus’ display of accuracy.
My friends from the Maine Zombie Census Bureau presented me with a jewel encrusted stiletto to commemorate the special occasion.
Ana, my Vampire friend, brought me an entire box of books from her used book store.
The Ghosts in my attic are conducting seances with the guests.
Rachel the Archangel told me that she stopped by Kitty Heaven earlier and saw Banky happily playing with his brother and sisters.
I’m sure there is so much more going on here, but it’s just too much for me to process. I feel incredibly lucky to have such wonderful friends and faithful readers. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I hit this magic number on National Friendship Day, and I am so grateful for all the new friends I’ve made as a result of starting this silly blog.
Thank you all. Wish you could be here! We’re really having a blast.
I look forward to writing more posts, and I hope you will continue to read them and share them with your friends!
Here’s to the next half million!
500K!!!!
Now *that’s* a Big Deal!
Yay!!!
I was going to run a 500K once. Then I remembered I was not a superhero. Thank Zeus!
wow, congrats! That’s a lot of eyes peeking at your stuff!
I know, right? 🙂
Okay, that might have come out wrong. You know what I mean though, RIGHT?
Yes. 🙂
Congrats Austin! Here’s to a million!
Thanks, Suzie! 🙂
Woo hoo! 🙂
Thanks, Amanda!
You’re welcome! Now, where’s the champagne?
I’m having Snapple?
Super!!!!!
I know, right?
Oh, snapple! I just had to google that, because we don’t have it in UK.
You don’t have Snapple over there? Time for a new Revolutionary War!
Congratulations!
Thank you!
Wow! That’s awesome! Congrats and cheers! Sounds like it’s been a busy day! 😉
Yes, it has been. Just finished editing the first 30 pages of the new screenplay. Phew!
500,000 views, and I’m just stumbling upon you now. I’m usually the last to catch on, so nothing new to me. Congrats.
Then you’d better sign up to follow the blog, and get to work on reading all the posts you’ve missed! 🙂
I follow directions well. You’re welcome.
🙂
Ironically, I just went to follow you on Twitter after visiting your blog, and we already follow each other…
That’s actually how I found you…Twitter.
We followed each other on there first, but we both had blogs on here. How interesting… 🙂
Go, you! 🙂
Thanks, Kitt! Thanks for the support from the very start. 🙂
Woohoo! Congrats!
Thanks, Rowan. I don’t think it counts as a full view when Little Daryl reads my blog since he’s so darn tiny!
He may be quite small of stature but I assure you he has a commanding presence.
I’m sure of that. Does he shoot toothpicks from his crossbow??? 🙂
Ha! I’ll have to suggest that. He has a limited number of arrows. He’s very carful when he shoots and always works had to retrieve them. He’s going to have to watch it while we are out at sea.
I would say so. If he falls overboard, he’s going to be in big trouble…
Yes, this is a concern we both share and have discussed at length.
Do you have a mini life jacket?
Not yet and I’m not sure if he’d be willing to wear it if I did, but I’m going to see if I can fashion one just in case.
Be strong with him. Show him who’s boss!
Always! 😉
🙂
Congratulations – that is quite the impressive number!!!! Glad you were not far from the ground (or comfy couch pillows) so as to catch you when the counter hit the big 500000!
Thank you! And thanks for all the views you’ve added to that counter!
