Still Just Running…

just runHappy Thursday, Modern Philosophers!

Just wanted to send a quick thank you to those of you who messaged me to ask if I’m still running, since I hadn’t written a running post this week.

Yes, Modern Philosophers, I did go for my Tuesday morning run, but I just didn’t get around to writing about it.  If you recall, Tuesday was when Robot High Command launched an attack and made my laptop stop working.

In all that went on that night, I simply forgot to write about my morning run.  You don’t know how much it means to me, though, that several of you wrote to check on me.  The main reason I blog about my runs is to report that I’ve actually kept up with my fitness program.  Asking me if I’d given up on running was exactly the response I was hoping to get from you guys… the best blog followers on the planet!

I also got up early to run this morning.  It’s very overcast out there, but I managed to beat the rain.  It’s definitely sweat pants under my Running Toga weather now, but I don’t mind it at all.  The cooler temps make the run much less of a struggle.  It is also darker now when I hit the road at 6AM, but my white toga makes me easily visible to traffic.

I did push myself further down the road towards the 2 mile turnaround.  I have been limiting me runs to the 3 mile range lately, but I plan to get back up to 4 miles on the weekends when I’m not rushed to get to work.

therapyIt definitely felt good to get out there, and I’m ready to take on Thursday.  Just so long as Thursday doesn’t plan to get too aggressive.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!  Thanks again to those who checked on me, and cracked the whip about my running…

I’m impressed with your readers. I don’t even get emails when I’ve been on vacation and haven’t been able to blog!

  2. Goes to show, there is a the kindness of strangers is not a myth, especially the blogging kind. 🙂
