For old Notre Dame.
Seamus is anxiously
Awaiting the game.
He is pacing
And singing
The Notre Dame Fight Song.
The rest of us
Are cringing
Must he sing
For so long?
We know he’s excited
Since he’s waving
His shillelagh.
I don’t think
I take take this
Someone bring me
Some Baileys.
The House on the Hill
Is packed for the game.
But the Leprechaun’s shenanigans
Are driving us insane.
We will root for the Irish
To take down the ‘Noles.
But surviving
A crazed Seamus
Is our immediate goal.
Someone get him a pint,
Please be a good laddy
And keep him distracted
While I pray to St. Paddy.
I’ll request of the Saint
A Notre Dame win,
And that Seamus won’t pass out
In my toilet again.
It’s never a dull night
At The House on the Hill.
I’ll keep an eye on ole Seamus
Because no one else will.
Go Notre Dame!!!
Poetry that rhymes. Yay! And funny!!
