Good morning, Modern Philosophers!
As I was wandering around the office yesterday in search of either a photocopier or my sanity, I noticed that there were many more Christmas trees than I had realized.
Here is a quick photo tour of the Office Christmas Tree Lot…
I have to begin with the Granddaddy of them all, the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree that started the Office Christmas Tree Craze.
I refer to it as the Granddaddy because it is so brittle and probably needs to be sent to an Christmas Tree Home for around the clock care.
The Chinese food ornaments are looking good!
Although very similar in color to the Charlie Brown Tree, Heather’s Hello Kitty tree stands out for a completely different reason.
While most people struggle to keep cats out of the Christmas Tree during the Holiday Season, Heather has clearly encouraged them to do the exact opposite!
This rare Albino Christmas Tree sits over next to Stephanie’s desk, although she claims that the tree is not hers.
I’m getting a little worried that Christmas Trees are just springing up on their own in the office, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, is it?
Holy crap, Modern Philosophers! Is that a full size, GREEN Christmas Tree I see over next to Jane’s desk? If I didn’t have photographic proof of its existence, I’d think it was something I just dreamed up while possessed with the Christmas Spirit.
I keep telling Jane that I’m going to steal her tree and put it by my desk.
She thinks I’m joking. Silly, silly Jane…
Finally, we have this unique tree from Darlene’s desk. I wasn’t sure if it should be included in this post, but Darlene insisted.
Santa Claus has been assigned to watch over the tres because Darlene must have heard about my plans to steal Jane’s tree.
So what do you think, Modern Philosophers? Which tree in the Office Christmas Tree Lot is your favorite? Did you know that any tree in this post could be delivered to the highest bidder via Gary the Gargoyle?
i love the one by Darlene’s desk. it sums up xmas succinctly. Santa, merry, makes you smile when you look at it, not over sized, but what we all feel like after (far) too many xmas goodies.
On that note gotta go eat some more hazelnut chocolate balls; their from one of our best chocolatiers called HAIGHS. yummo.
Enjoy!
are you starting to feel a little bit more cheery toward xmas? i hope so.
Well, the weather tonight it crappy, but at least is only icy rain and not snow.
i am sure gary would deliver any of them as long as there were no squirrels or racoons in them.
And you pay his delivery fee…
sure i will pay the delivery fee. what do gargoyles eat.. maybe i will bake him fruitcake.
Mostly rocks and gravel. And Zombies.
ohhh sunshine you are so funny.. surely Gary has finer taste in things at christmas time…….hmmm. what about some yummy mineral sands or diamonds and pearls…
He’s made of stone. He has different interests…
I will go for the original purple. I do like Hello Kitty, but I think that may be a little much for me.
I already have a purple tree, so no need for Gary to swoop by.
Okay. Thanks for voting!
The trees run the gamut of “Christmasiness”–is that a word? I’ll stick with the Charlie Brown tree–even though I have no affectations for purple trees.
You just don’t want to upset Bethany again!
No, I meant it in a complimentary way.
🙂
I cannot lie. I’m bad with decisions. I like them all.
Awww…
😀 😀 😀
I’m a sucker for Charlie Brown, so I’ll stick with that tree. 😉
Woo hoo!
I’ll vote for the modern art lines of Darlene’s trees, Austin. And also because Darlene’s Santa appears to be a duck dressed up in Clausery. Am I right on that?
I’m afraid to go in for further review. What if it bites me?
You can charge the doctor’s visit and put it on his bill. 🙂
Good point.
