We just had a historic blog moment at The House on the Hill, Modern Philosophers.
I checked my WordPress dashboard and saw that my counter was at 600,010! That’s an incredible number of views for a blog that’s just over two years old. Wow!
I am helping my friend Dave get his blog started, and I keep reassuring him that nothing made sense to me at first, I had no idea what I was doing, and I never thought anyone was going to read my ramblings.
Well, you have proven me wrong, Modern Philosophers, and for that, I am extremely grateful. As I’ve mentioned, I started this blog on November 1, 2012 to give me a distraction to help deal with a traumatic event in my life.
I wasn’t sure if writing silly stories was going to help me forget my broken heart, but I gave it a shot because I needed to try something.
I had no idea I was going to make so many amazing friends, and discover that so many crazy tales were packed away in my head, just waiting for an outlet.
Thank you for reading this blog, for sharing my stories, for giving me advice on how to make it better, and for coming back day after day for more “Deep Thoughts From The Shallow End Of The Pool” as it says on the masthead.
When I started this blog, I wasn’t very confident in my comedy writing skills. Now I’m a writer for The Nite Show With Danny Cashman, and I just completed a new screenplay that’s a Romantic Comedy.
This blog has certainly helped this Modern Philosopher find his comedic voice, and it’s been a blast tickling your funny bones and jump starting your brains.
Let’s get that counter to 1,000,000 views. I promise to keep writing posts if you keep reading them, Modern Philosophers. Do we have a deal?

Well done, congratulations! I can’t even imagine a 4 figure view … a 6 figure view, that’s wonderful. You must be super chuffed! I’ve only had my blog for about a month and i’m a few 100s from a thousand view; so 600,000 views is quite beyond my imagination at the moment.
