Many of you have asked me for updates on Cali and Luna, the beautiful kitties that I adopted from the Bangor Humane Society back in August.
They are doing wonderfully, and really have made The House on the Hill their own. Sure, Luna is still a little shy, but this afternoon she did something so cute.
She curled up next to me on the couch, which she rarely ever does. While I was writing, she would stand up and put her front paws on my leg. I tried to urge her to sit in my lap like Cali always does, but she would back off and curl up next to me again.
As soon as I’d go back to typing, she’d get up and put her front paws on my leg again.
I’m not sure what that was all about, but it was definitely progress.
I am so thrilled that I went to the Bangor Humane Society when I did and found these two. They have really made me very happy, and I’m so glad they chose to live with me.
They are incredibly camera shy, but I managed to sneak a couple of photos today to share with you, Modern Philosophers…
Hi, I’m Luna. I’m incredibly shy, but look at how cute I am. Jumping up on this desk in the foyer is a new thing for me, and I like the view it gives me of the front door.
I have been thinking that maybe I’m a guard kitty. It seems so natural to just sit here on the table and stare at the front door.
This way, no one can sneak up on Daddy or Cali.
I think I hear something in the living room. It’s probably just one of my toy mice, but I should really rush over there at top speed to investigate. If I slide across the hardwood floors in the process, then that will just add to my fun!
Hi, I’m Cali. I’m the baby. I like to sit on Daddy’s lap, especially when he is trying to write. I figure that if I’m curled up between the laptop and Daddy, I’m helping him with the writing process. So, you can thank me for all the blog posts you like so much.
I’d like to talk more, but it’s snowing outside, and I really can’t stay focused on this conversation when all those snowflakes are fluttering past this window. I hope you understand…
I love watching these snowflakes. I hope it NEVER stops snowing!!!
As you can see, my kitties are as adorable as ever. They really appreciate that you guys ask about them, and they’ll try to be less camera shy so they can appear in the blog more often.
Cali and Luna want to wish you all a Happy Easter!
They are SO cute! I love cats ❤
I hope cali and Luna have a great Easter 🙂
They said thank you!
They’ve grown so much and look quite comfy in their home. Thanks for the update. 🙂
You’re welcome!
They’re beautiful! 🙂
They said thank you.
Happy Easter! The are adorable. I so miss having a pet. We are now renting and can’t have them. The landlord was very nice to let us keep my mother’s cat, but she has to stay outside. I guess that’s not too bad as my mom never let her cats in, so the cat is used to it. It drives me crazy though! Too dangerous out there!
I’d never let the kitties outside. Not with all this snow!
so cute and happy easter to the three of you, too )
Thanks, Beth. Happy Easter!
I had to giggle at the title of your post – cat house used to be a euphemism for a whore house! These ladies look too demure and shy to be ladies of the night!
I am well aware of that, Jan. Hence my using it in the title. Give me some credit. 😉
Just as long as you know – I’m watching you Dude…I better not see those kitties on line in negligees with a 1-800 number! ; ) Seriously – I hope you see the sun tomorrow and that kitties don’t have to look out on snow falling.
Cali seems to love watching the snow…
Aww, that’s a sweet-looking set of cats there.
Thank you, kind sir. 🙂
Nice to meet you, Cali and Luna, you lucky kitties!
I’m the lucky one! 🙂
They are both beautiful kitties & lucky to be adopted by such a good person who loves them ! Cali reminds me alot of a kitty i had a long time ago who was just as beautiful ! Happy Easter Austin , Cali & Luna ! 🐣

Nice take on a cat house.
Leslie
Thank you. 🙂
I have had cats my whole life, except for now we have two English Mastiffs. These pictures are adorable and makes me want to get another one.
Awwww. Cali and Luna would love it if you adopted a kitty from a shelter!
Yes, that’s the best way by far! 🙂
Happy Easter! Oh my you’re kitties are Gorgeous!!
Happy Easter. The kitties thank you for your kind words!
