There’s another taping of The Nite Show With Danny Cashman tonight, Modern Philosophers.
Guess who’s going to be making his second appearance of the season (and third overall) in front of the camera?
Yes, I will be up on stage at The Gracie Theatre, proving that it’s always better for writers to remain behind the camera.
Even when they are as handsome as this Modern Philosopher.
On the drive home from work, and on my way to pick up my traditional pre-show meal of Little Caesar’s Hot and Ready Pepperoni Pizza, I rehearsed my lines continuously. I’m sure it was quite the sight for the other drivers on the highway, but shouldn’t they really be focusing on the road, rather than on me?
I am a little nervous about tonight’s appearance, but it’s not as long and complicated as the Timbo sketch from the first taping of the season. I’ve learned my lesson about keeping my lines simple and easy to memorize.
My bit is at the start of the second show, so I won’t have to wait until show #3 like I did with Timbo. Hopefully, it goes off without a hitch, and I can enjoy the rest of the taping.
As always, I will do my best to live tweet and post photos on Facebook. If you don’t already follow me on Twitter, I’m @Austin_Hodgens.
There’s a widget in the right margin that you can click on to make following my tweets even simpler.
For those of you who missed my TV acting debut from earlier this season, here is the Timbo sketch. Not only did I act in it, but I also wrote it.
Hope you enjoy it. It’s not too late to join us at The Gracie Theatre tonight to see me make a fool of myself in front of a live studio audience!
I hope you’ll remember us when you become a star, but really, all the best tonight, break a leg and all that.
I know you’ll do well and look forward to your posts/tweets, etc. about it. 🙂
Thanks, Donna! I’ll do my dorky best. 🙂
Can’t wait…dork is the new cool. 😉
I’ve actually known interns like Timbo! Great job – have a blast!
Thanks! I didn’t play Timbo tonight, though.
Great news! Giving away any lobster dinners? 🙂
Not tonight. It was not Timbo’s return
Break a leg!

Hey, who’s that dumb guy in the bib?
A homeless guy who wandered in off the street. The girl in the bib is pretty hot, though. I’m trying to find out who she is…
May said pursuit bring you Joy.
Good one. I see what you did there. 🙂
Remember, all you have to say is “I am waiting for a bus”
Those were not my lines. I would’ve remembered those…
