Kinder, Simpler, Bushier Days

Jeb Bush, Donald Trump, politics, poetry, Star Wars, Stormtroopers, humor, Modern PhilosopherI miss

The days,

Not so

Long ago,

When we

Could laugh

About Jeb Bush.

We all knew

Jeb

Would never

Carry on

The family business,

But it

Was fun

To watch

Him try

To find

A way

To sneak into

The White House.

Donald Trump

Picked on

Poor Jeb

Like a

Schoolyard bully

Going after

The teacher’s pet.

I must admit

I chuckled

A little.

Not that I

Condoned

Trump’s actions,

But because

Jeb always reacted

So strangely.

I never knew

Politics

Could be

So entertaining,

Until Jeb

Came along.

Of course,

I’d much prefer

President Jeb

To the ruler

We got

Stuck with

In the end.

I’m only

Laughing now

Because it’s

The best way

To hide

My tears.

I created this

Stormtrooper Canva

Over a

Year ago

For the blog.

I’ve never

Been able

To delete it

Because I just

Love it

So much.

It reminds me

Of Jeb,

Star Wars,

And a long time ago,

When life

Was kinder,

Simpler, and

Bushier.

I miss

Those days

Of Star Wars

And Jeb,

When it

Looked like

The good guys

Would save

The galaxy.

Could even

The Jedi

Save us now?

Without our

Jeb-i Knight,

The Empire

Might rule

Forever.

Maybe Bernie,

Our Angry

Obi-wan Kenobi,

Will return

In four years

To finish

What Jeb

Never really

Could get started.

Jeb,

Jeb,

Jeb…

I just miss

Saying Jeb.

May the Force

Be with us all

While the Farce

Is in

The White House!

It would be poetic justice if you followed me on my blog and on Pinterest…

ha ha ha you know that title could be misconstrued in its meaning??? LOL. i do vaguely recall Jeb Bush. Yes it would be so much better.

  2. Poor Jeb. He was like the kid that got invited to a party just so the popular kids could make fun of him

  3. Can’t say I really miss Jeb but I’m going to need many a virtual drink over the next 4 farcical years……clink ~~dru~~

  4. My husband says this all the time. Oh for those days!

  5. I wasn’t sold on Jeb but he would be a welcome relief if he hadn’t gone into the sunset licking his wounds. He could have relied on the experience of dad and big brother after all.

  6. As a straight female democrat I NEVER thought I would long for any bush. But now I want any or all of them.

At the moment I guess it’s a case of “if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry” … I don’t know who Jeb Bush is though …

  8. Silly Mummy says:

Oh we all miss those days! Never mind Jeb, we’re going to be looking nostalgically at Ted Cruz soon, and he is almost certainly the actual devil. This week I haven’t been able to get over the fact that George W has seemed comparatively reasonable, measured and smart! George W! The man who thought the French had no word for entrepreneur! Or for that matter Bush Senior who had ‘opinions of my own, strong opinions, but I don’t always agree with them.’ The unthinkable has happened: the Bushes are starting to look good!
