This is going to be a quick post, Modern Philosophers, because I really should be writing monologue jokes for Wednesday’s taping of The Nite Show.
Please don’t tell Danny that I took time out from my very important TV writing duties to show a little Blog Love to my favorite Modern Philosophers.
The thing is, I was hoping that Snow Miser had blown his load and moved on to wherever he goes to rest until next Winter. I’d even taken the huge rocks out of the trunk of my car, thinking I didn’t need that extra weight back there because there would be no more snow.
Boy was I wrong!
Another gargantuan blizzard is headed for Maine, and it’s throwing my entire week into disarray. My company has already announced that we are closing at 3:00 tomorrow and not opening until 10:00 0n Wednesday because of the approaching storm.
We’re supposed to be taping The Nite Show on Wednesday, but that could be in jeopardy depending on how much snow we get. We already had to cancel a taping last month because of snow, and I don’t think Danny wants to postpone another.
I was also planning to put in more overtime this week, but that’s not really possible if we’re closing early, opening late, and I have to leave at noon on Wednesday for the taping.
Such chaos in an already disorganized world!
Of course, the bright side of it all is that I can sleep in tomorrow since I don’t need to be up at the butt crack of dawn to put in my overtime. Always find the silver lining!
Because I’m not ready to deal with a world covered in snow again, I took some photos when I got home tonight so I could remember how things look when Snow Miser leaves us alone for a few weeks.
I might as well share them with you..
After Snow Miser is done with us some time early Thursday, I probably won’t see my front lawn again until April.
It was fun to see black top and grass again, even if only for a short time.
I know this storm isn’t exclusive to Maine, so stay safe if you also have the misfortune of being in its path. Try to remember, April is less than three weeks away.
We just have to weather this one last storm!
A great way to wait out a blizzard is by following me on my blog and on Pinterest (hint, hint)!
The snow has just started here – guess it will be on its way to you soon. Stay safe! I think we’re in for the next two days, most likely. Schools and businesses are already closed hours ago for tomorrow.
It’s coming down really hard right now!
Wow even in the ‘dead of winter’ Maine looks beautiful. Foliage in abundance. Hang in there! Hopefully it will melt quickly this time!
Monday is the first day of Spring…
I’m in the crosshairs of the storm too and am sorely disappointed. There’s been about three times they I’ve already thought we were done. Good luck over the next few days.
Same to you, Phil!
Stay warm, buddy.
I am…
